Reliance Launches JioBrain: AI-Driven Platform and Green Data Centers in Gujarat

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has introduced JioBrain, a new AI-driven platform designed to improve business processes across the company. At the 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Chairman Mukesh Ambani shared that Reliance Jio is working on a wide range of AI tools and applications for the JioBrain initiative. This platform aims to boost operational efficiency and enhance customer service throughout Reliance’s businesses.

JioBrain is a suite of tools and platforms developed by Reliance Jio to streamline AI adoption across its operations. The platform is intended to help Jio and other Reliance companies make faster decisions, improve predictions, and better understand customer needs.

Reliance is setting up AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, Gujarat, powered by green energy. These centers will support the JioBrain platform, central to the company’s AI plans. Chairman Mukesh Ambani mentioned that by improving JioBrain within Reliance, they aim to create an AI service that can be offered to other businesses as well. The company plans to use AI to enhance its operations in retail, entertainment, agriculture, healthcare, and education.

Mr. Ambani noted that JioBrain will help bring AI to all of Reliance’s operating companies, speeding up their adoption of AI technologies and placing the company at the forefront of innovation in India. With JioBrain, Reliance is taking significant steps toward leading the AI movement in the country, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and growth. Jio is developing a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms that span the entire AI lifecycle to streamline AI adoption. We call this Jio Brain,” he told shareholders.

“Digital is another principal area of our in-house research. We have filed patents in 6G, 5G, AI-Large Language Models, AI-Deep Learning, Big Data, Devices, Internet of Things, and Narrowband-IoT,” Mr Ambani said.

The billionaire businessman hailed Reliance as a ‘deep-tech innovator’ and reiterated its promise to bring AI to “every Indian”. Ambani also announced the Jio AI Cloud Welcome offer with 100 GB of free cloud storage for users.
